A Home Transformed Over Time in Palmdale

Project Overview

This project encompasses seven years of thoughtful updates with one trusted remodeling partner. For our homeowners, creating a home they love has been a progression. Since 2019, they have returned to Lenton Company for projects ranging from a kitchen remodel to custom storage and a refreshed bathroom. Each project addressed a different need, building on the improvements that came before it.

2019 | Starting With Everyday Spaces

The relationship began with a hall bathroom and wet bar project in September 2019, followed by a laundry room remodel that November. The downstairs bathroom work was limited to replacing the shower with a fiberglass unit, providing an economical solution at the time. The existing vanity and the rest of the bathroom remained in place. Seven years later, the homeowners would return to this same room with a more comprehensive vision. In the laundry room, design discussions focused on refreshing the walls and cabinetry, coordinating cabinet hardware with the wet bar and considering improvements to the work surfaces and flooring. These practical considerations helped establish an approach that would carry into future projects: making everyday spaces more useful while connecting their appearance to the rest of the home.

2020 | Rethinking the Kitchen

The kitchen remodel followed in February 2020. Planning went beyond choosing finishes to consider how the homeowners used the room, where they needed storage and how the layout could work better. Design discussions explored updating existing cabinet boxes with Shaker doors and drawers, creating dedicated appliance storage and repositioning the island. The homeowners also explored a mix of painted cabinetry and stained wood for the island, bringing opportunities for color, warmth and contrast into the design. Today, they still love how bright and airy their kitchen feels and how much more functional it is. They also remember the organization and follow-through that supported their project through the challenges of the pandemic lockdown.

2023 | Adding Storage Where It Matters

In October 2023, Lenton Company returned to design and install a custom shoe cabinet at the entry from the garage. The goal was to give shoes a dedicated place while making the cabinet feel like part of the home. The discovery notes called for paint and hardware to coordinate with the kitchen, extending earlier design choices into another space. It was a smaller project with a practical purpose, adding storage at a point the homeowners pass through every day.

2026 | Returning to Complete the Vision

In June 2026, the homeowners returned to the downstairs bathroom for a full transformation. The earlier project had addressed the shower alone. This time, they wanted to brighten the entire space, create a prettier shower and achieve a calming, relaxing atmosphere. The remodel retained the existing tile flooring while transforming the rest of the room. A new tiled shower and beautiful glass enclosure replaced the fiberglass unit installed in 2019. The new vanity also resolved a longstanding frustration. The home’s existing vanity, which had not been replaced during Lenton’s earlier work, was positioned so that an angled doorway prevented its drawers from opening fully. Installing the new vanity with a filler provided the clearance needed for the drawers to function properly. The result is a brighter, more inviting bathroom with thoughtful improvements to both its appearance and everyday use.

A Home That Continues to Evolve

Across seven years, these projects have brought fresh function and personal style to different parts of the same home. Time between remodels allowed the homeowners to enjoy each improvement, consider their next priority and save for the work ahead. For Lenton Company, each return visit is also an opportunity to build on a relationship and an understanding of the home. Together, those individual projects tell the story of a home makeover achieved over time.

Reveal:

In the words of our homeowners, “We originally hired the Lenton team for a small project and were so impressed with their work that we kept finding new projects for them to tackle. Before we knew it, they had beautifully transformed so much of our home! What impressed us most was how seamlessly everything came together. Even though the renovations happened in multiple phases, our home feels cohesive, thoughtfully designed, and completely refreshed. Throughout the process, it was clear that the team genuinely cared about our satisfaction and took pride in making sure we were happy with every detail. Throughout our experience we found that Rob Lenton and his team are very trustworthy.”
