A small fire caused by a hair dryer that sparked in the primary bathroom created an unexpected opportunity for a room remodel. Fortunately for our homeowners, the fire damage was minimal, but the smoke and water damage required an immediate fix.
The bathroom encompassed two distinct spaces: a vanity area and a separate toilet room with an original bathtub. The design involved replacing the tub with a walk-in shower. With a family member’s carpentry skills as inspiration, the design for the vanity incorporated a custom-built vanity with dual sinks.
The soffit in the vanity area was removed and new wall light fixtures and mirrors were installed. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring was installed in the vanity area and continued through the adjacent primary bedroom along with new base moulding. A tiled shower with sliding door glass enclosure replaced the existing tub and the toilet room flooring was tiled to coordinate. A new exhaust fan with light was added in the toilet room.
In the words of our homeowners’, “As traumatic as the fire was, Lenton Company put us at ease and we felt very safe with them. Their workmanship was beautiful, no problems or surprises, and they were all very polite and fun people who helped us every step of the way. We love our bathroom remodel and have already recommended Lenton Company to others looking for a reliable contractor.”
