This Lancaster client hadn’t done any remodeling to their home
since their initial move in, and with a high school graduation celebration
coming up they wanted to create a more entertainment-friendly space to host
their guests. For this family, expanding their kitchen and updating their
family room was a perfect solution.
We started by removing all the non-bearing walls and soffits to
create a large open area. We moved the refrigerator from the center of the room
to an outside wall, which allowed us to expand the kitchen area into a
previously unused breakfast nook space. A new hutch cabinet replaced their
dated storage cabinet to give it a fresh new look, and new floors and lighting
made the design complete.
In
the family room we replaced the dated fireplace with a lovely modern,
functional one that anchors the room. They now have the entertainment space
they were dreaming of.
