An Elegant Wet Room Redesign for the Primary Suite in Leona Valley

Challenge:

These homeowners were returning clients, having partnered with Lenton Company previously on their kitchen remodel. When it came time to update their primary bathroom, they reached out again. This time to address both aging finishes and water-damaged areas that required attention. The existing bathroom had a unique footprint that included a large amount of unused space around the tub and shower. While the room was generous in size, it did not feel cohesive or functional. The homeowners dreamed of a spa-like retreat that was both serene and highly usable, with updated materials, increased storage, and a visual connection to the adjoining bedroom.

Design:

Our design team saw an opportunity to reimagine the entire flow of the space. By removing bulky platforms and unnecessary partitions, we opened the room to create a true wet room environment where the freestanding tub and walk-in shower share the same visually unified zone. Soft, light-toned tile with subtle texture adds depth without overpowering the space, while the pebble mosaic accent in the shower brings warmth and a natural, grounded feel. The cabinetry was replaced with bright, creamy finishes to lighten the room and provide a fresh, timeless foundation. A new linen cabinet adds valuable storage, solving one of the homeowners’ top functional requests. To visually connect the primary bathroom and bedroom, new flooring flows seamlessly between the two spaces. We also refreshed the bedroom fireplace with updated tile work that echoes the bathroom’s warm, inviting palette, creating a cohesive primary suite experience.

Build:

During construction, our team carefully addressed the existing water damage, ensuring a sound and watertight foundation for the new finishes. Precision craftsmanship brought each custom element to life, from the freestanding tub placement to the open shower layout with inset niches and mixed-material detailing. The end result is a bright, welcoming, spa-inspired primary suite that blends comfort, elegance, and thoughtful functionality.
